bookmark_borderVibe Coded for the First Time – kawaiioccultpets.com

I vibe coded a website for the first time using Claude/Sonnet 4.6. But first things first, what is vibe coding? It’s a way to speed up your workflow by prompting an AI assistant to build it for you. Building this myself would’ve taken me weeks since I’m not a hardcore web programmer but Claude just sped it up in 1-2 days.

I wanted it to be fun and cute and just for me. I didn’t want to think about monetizing it ’cause then it wouldn’t be fun anymore. So above are screenshots that I turned into an animated gif.

It’s basically a site where you can customize your pet. It’s an ode to my favorite game of all time, SuperPoke! Pets from MySpace days. It had the cutest graphics, pets, habitats and items and it was the first time I ever spent real money on virtual goods.

I managed to save a jpeg of my pet tiger Maru:

Anyways, the site is occultkawaiipets.com – it’s gonna be a work in progress!

bookmark_borderSome Old Animated Gif Graphics for Social Media Promotions

This is from 2016 when I was attempting to put myself out there as a graphic designer / social media marketer on Twitter and Instagram. Below is the pitch that I wrote to go along with it. Feel free to steal my idea and see if it will work for you in 2026.

Why am I even sharing this? I noticed people are reading my old posts on marketing. So I figured I’d share more of my marketing fails and share the PSD.

Click to download the PSD and change the fonts, text & colors

Good luck.

Need Help with Your Promotions?

I had designed this initially to post on Instagram, but I know there were some other things I had to flesh out before I actually posted it. So here are some details about my offerings:

+ Please leave a note when checking out on Paypal as to what it is you’d like for me to promote – you, your website, your band, your services, etc? You can also send me an email at: shermgrafik at gmail dot com

+ I have a fulltime job so please allow for some time for me to promote you, as I won’t be able to do it right away. If you have suggestions or specific needs as to what time I should post or tweet, please let me know.

+ If you are paying for more than 1 Insta Post & Tweet, rest assured that I will space out the posts so they won’t be consecutive. I will also do my best to hashtag the posts & tweets properly in order for more people to find it.

+ I’m sure there are more things to be added here. But for now, I am keeping it simple.

Thank you!

bookmark_borderSocial Media Observations & Ramblings

Mostly based on my own behavior, I noticed that:

– People just aren’t paying attention as much. For me personally, my attention span dips in and out. The millions of people promoting or sharing something can be taxing and I have other things on my mind these days. Maybe it’s because I’m getting old? Idk. I was also one of those people promoting or sharing something for a hot minute…I got sick of myself.

– One of the things I learned about marketing your business is that if you want people to pay attention, then you have to post A LOT. This is how people will remember you, through repetition. It’s annoying as fuck tbh but it works. Posting a lot in my opinion though, eventually leads to burnout especially if it’s not producing some kind of return (a lead or a sale of your product). I definitely felt this with my crystal shop and that’s why I haven’t posted in some time now. Although I had a couple of loyal folks who always bought crystals from me (if you’re reading this – thank you, I love & appreciate you!), the majority of my crystal sales never came from posting on Instagram anyways.

– Posting a lot won’t necessarily bring the results you want. If anything, the majority of people just want to be entertained by what you post. They don’t always want to buy, which is why I think the shop section of IG is pointless. I’m definitely one of those people who also rejects a lot of ads (most of them are irrelevant anyway)…which is why it’s hard for me to do ads for my own business. Too critical for my own good.

– I haven’t been very successful with my own entrepreneurial endeavors; thanks to the neverending pandemic, I kinda gave up on it. I tried it, but wasn’t built for it. Did the universe spare me from struggling and putting myself in a situation I didn’t really want to be in? Probably. That or being programmed to be an employee for life has taken its toll.

– As usual, I’m bored with everything that I’m doing and I don’t know what’s next for me. A friend did a channeled card reading for me recently and also sensed my eternal state of boredom. Sigh. Anyways, here’s an excerpt from Mystic Medusa‘s Astral DNA Report aka her take on my natal chart that at least gives me some clues as to why I can’t just settle as a “personal brand”:

Neptune House X

Their public image can be mysterious: an alias, nom de plume or a brand conceals the true persona. Tenth House Neptune people are adrift in an ocean of treacherous career currents until they find or create their true vocation. Their c.v. is peppered with surreal episodes, a twilight zone of enigmatic gigs and of course, quite a few off-c.v. escapades. Whatever their official occupation, their title is really “magician” or “rainmaker.”

Enjoy this gif I made. Happy Scorpio season!

bookmark_borderVII of Cups – Viernes 2/23/18

It’s challenging to want to know everything and be everything…

I literally want to learn how to do A LOT of things. Where does one draw the line?

I also want to just do nothing, really. Have I lost my sense of identity? Probably. I have always thought that art would be my path. It is, just not in the way I imagined. It is still one of many possibilities, and I’m still holding on to the fantasy that I will create in that capacity again.

But let’s face it, as grownups it’s not exactly easy to make “art for art’s sake” – most things adults do has a purpose. But if it’s important to you, you will find the time.

I want to get better at business and marketing because I know it will benefit my little business…

But I also just want to let it unfold without me forcing it to be a certain way.

Everything has to be balanced, we all have to wait our turn. There’s a lot of everything right now, so much so that it’s saturated. It’s great that everyone is pursuing their dream, but not so great when the market is flooded. Everybody is selling, everybody is hustling. I’m right there with all those people, but I’ve also learned to be still and have patience.

I read this proverb from a little booklet (Learn Spanish – another thing that I really want to learn) and it has a beautiful, religious but also borderline occult undertone to it:

EN LA TIERRA DE LOS CIEGOS EL TUERTO ES REY

In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed is king.

Here’s my drawing for today which somehow evolved into a animated gif that I don’t mind at all; I hope to redraw it and post a better version. I’m pretty sure I’ve drawn VII of Cups before, digitally.

I was going to end the post here but another thought entered my mind: I think that’s why I like the Tarot and continue to work with it – it is everything. But when you see the bigger picture it is also a mandala, a wheel. And at any given moment, the wheel turns and we can be anything we want.

bookmark_borderDrawing – Tektite Unicorn

I participated in a tektite guided meditation last night & posted an animated version on Instagram today (something that I just did pretty quickly in Photoshop), so here is a still version. Have I told you that I enjoy making GIFs? Well, now you know 🙂

From Robert Simmon’s Book of Stones: “Tektites carry the energies of a number of extraterrestrial streams of communication and information. These stones, whether they are themselves Meteorites or not, vibrate with high-frequency pulsations which can put one in touch with ETS.”

And that accurately describes what I experienced: I floated from a desert landscape into the night sky, exchanging energy with my star. After that, I traveled further into space and landed in an area that was similar to Superman’s home, Kryptonite. Ice-like and blue, except it wasn’t. I encountered & merged with a being that morphed from a unicorn, to a sea horse, then into a pulsating, wavy, transparent sea slug until it grew larger & became glints of colored light. It was overwhelming that I was literally blinded by the light! Did you get the song reference? Super trippy indeed. Thankful for the experience!

I still want to learn how to animate really well in After Effects, as well as create 3D graphics in Cinema 4D. I really just want to animate my visions. I just want to play, experiment and have fun. There are so many things I want to learn…

so a rough drawing made with office supplies will do for now.

Edit 5/25/26 – here is the animated gif version; I don’t even remember how I did this other than take pictures of the drawing a few times and then maybe added some kind of blur in Photoshop? Gosh, this was 10 years ago.
