Title: Smile Now, Cry Later
Description: Framed 11″x14″ black & white, mixed media drawing

Saturday, May 2nd 2026: I dug up a photo of this old, framed drawing I did. I feel that it pairs well with the Raiders chola girl; as a matter of fact I think I did these two based on a black and white themed art show. Anyways, “Smile Now, Cry Later” is an oldies song, inspired by gang culture in Los Angeles in the 90’s. I have to admit, as a young artist I romanticized it a bit, even the graffiti writers took part in the subculture of tagbanging around that time. I was just the outsider looking in, observing everything around me.

Oh btw, I just realized I edited this post exactly 10 years later! OMG. Time is wild and synchronicity never ceases to amaze me.

Title: Lost in Time
Description: Framed 11″x14″ black & white, mixed media drawing

If you grew up sometime between the 1980’s and 1990’s, were influenced by gang culture and watched Mi Vida Loca, then this mixed media drawing would be the end result. This is pretty much a throwback to those times.

Echo Park wasn’t a safe place back then. I’m sort of amazed at how much the city of Los Angeles has changed, for better or for worse.

bookmark_borderNew Moon Girl – Animated Drawing

Fri 11/01/24: bumping her up again because it’s a Scorpio new moon in Scorpio season. Go forth and manifest in the void.

Sat 8/20/22: bumping this up because I was looking for her.

I made her blink, maybe I will do a tutorial on how to do that. I’m pretty sure I posted the original drawing here somewhere…

nevermind, here it is from 2017.

Some random thoughts today:

I’m really glad I have this blog. Instagram and other social media hangouts may seem permanent, but it’s not your property. At least I can say this is my property. So if someone on Instagram decides they don’t like my post, they can report me. Then I would be on IG’s radar which means they can do other things, like shadow ban or disable my account.

Well I’m glad I don’t have a ton of followers on there, I don’t have to feel so attached like many others do who have built up a following on there. In some ways, I can relate more to porn stars and sex workers – who are used to having their accounts banned on a regular basis.

The impermanence of it all.

I end up revisiting old graphic artworks because they still hold meaning for me. As a matter of fact, they become more relevant over time.

We’re all constantly creating or recreating our own reality, our own microcosms. Everyone’s living in their own universe, a world that they created.

Shermgrafik > Save the Savages > Metaphysical Vibes > Crystal Healer LA are my worlds.

The more I look at this, the more I realize that this is my Inner Temple. My inner world where all the things I love reside and collide to create something new. And do I love using bright colors in my design work. I love seeing those same colors on window splashes and handpainted lettering.

Don’t live life by some cheesy, stale quote. I get that quotes are really popular on the internet right now. I get a lot of followers who post nothing but quotes. Learn to exercise your brain – create your own quotes that are unique to you.

Boredom can often lead to creativity.

And today I feel bored. Bored with the work I’m doing, bored with the content. Bored with my body, I want to float away.

The moon has a way of drawing that out I think; making you think you’ve cleared and moved past a certain issue, yet it comes back somehow. It’s a vicious cycle, really. One minute I’m grateful for what I have, next minute I’m bored af and questioning myself yet again as to why I’m still here. It drives me nuts.

We are earthy/airy/fiery/watery/spiritual beings all at once and the moon pulls on the watery, emotional/feeling parts of ourselves and takes us through those cycles.

I dream about the crystal store and imagine myself working at home. That’s all I want really.

I don’t want to be an entrepreneur who works on their laptop at the beach. Although that sounds very nice and great if you are doing it but I don’t want to WORK at the beach. I want to ENJOY the beach. I want to be present – breathe deeply, smell the ocean air, run sand through my hands and feet.

But I really just want to be at home.

Home is where I feel the most comfortable and happy.

I’m a simple human with simple needs.

bookmark_borderDrawing – LOL OMG Occult Girl

Colored her over the weekend, still WIP.

Not posting as much & following less people on Instagram in order to draw more. Taking all distractions away (little by little). Doing instead of trying.

Your power lies in the present moment. You can affirm what you want to happen and visualize the outcome.

I’m on my way to manifesting a new reality, whatever that is.

Description: a colored pencil drawing of a naked girl in blue tones. She has the words LOL OMG covering her eyes. There is a pyramid floating behind her head and 5 circles that go from small to large. She has her hands in prayer position and on each side of her is a pentacle (a 5 pointed star enclosed in a circle)  with rays shining out. Inspired by an image of Aleister Crowley where in the photo he was wearing a pyramid shaped hat with the symbol of an eye enclosed within a triangle with rays shining out.

I haven’t been drawing much, but I’m always creating (as we all are in one form or another) you just might not notice me as much. I prefer being a ghost anyway.

Although I’ve been paying attention to myself more, I haven’t really given this blog much thought. I hope to start posting stuff again, but I can’t promise it will be consistent either.

So here is my first drawing of 2016.
