Another stroll down memory lane, this was when I was starting to get bored with painting the same ol’ letters and wanted to experiment with another name. Obviously I like the letter S.

Another stroll down memory lane, 2006 I believe…20 freakin years ago, omg. I love Vyal’s green daemon character, the way our pieces flow in between and the color combos we used. So much motion and flow on a wall. In so much gratitude that I got to paint right next to a living legend – a Capricorn god of the earth and an aerosol master. This wall was Tibetan / Buddhist inspired. If you happen to see this Vyal, hi! Let’s go eat and see one another before we grow any older and die, okay? We love and miss you!👁️🖤🩶🤍

bookmark_borderAmazing Photo by Aaron Huey
I’m pretty sure the photographer who shot this (Aaron Huey), emailed me the same, awesome photo more than 10 years ago. It’s so surreal when things resurface. Anyway, this was posted on Nat Geo’s Instagram today! So crazy.
I want to let people know who saw this photo in their feed that I wasn’t the only one on that wall; top left is ATLAS and bottom left is VOX. They were my crew mates from WGS (We Got Skills) Crew.

Tue 2/17/2026 edit: the year was 2000 and this piece was painted in St. Louis, MO with my crew at the time. I was 22 years old, had my first fulltime ‘real’ job working as an Ad Production Artist (for newspaper ads, remember those?) so I had money to travel, get a hotel & rental car, buy paint and actually paint. This was the biggest piece I’ve ever painted and I still didn’t feel like it was big enough to fill up the space.
I have to find a photo of myself standing against the wall.
